Francesco is a results-driven restructuring practitioner. He focuses on operational management and business due diligence to deliver operational improvements aligned with company goals for a wide-range of industries. He has served the capital equipment, automotive, telecommunications, energy and steel industries throughout Europe and the United States. Prior to joining AlixPartners, he was a senior associate with A.T. Kearney in Milan. Before that he was a manager of the Transaction Services practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers and an associate corporate development officer with Forma House Limited in London.
Francesco focuses on corporate restructuring and performance improvement, serving as advisor to both Financial and industrial players. Select engagements include:
- Global Heavy Industry OEM: Global margin improvement program with key focus on identifying and driving margin improvement across functional areas and product lineup. Implemented ~ $70 m annualized net P/L improvement in 2008
- Global Automotive Tier 1: Accelerated purchasing initiative. Fact Based Sourcing across four business units spanning North America and Europe. Implemented and drove cost reduction of $36M annualized in 2007
- Global Heavy Industry OEM: Restructuring and performance improvement. Major focus on technical performance improvement and relative product/commodity strategy. Identified potential of 14.4% performance improvement on addressed spend of $400 m
- Powertrain JV: Restructuring and performance improvement. Leader of the Direct Materials workstream with $4B underlying purchased value under scope. Responsible of designing, launching and managing Top Supplier negotiations
He is a core team member and industry sponsor for AlixPartners’ heavy industry practice. Francesco is also a competency leader on Industrial Pricing, Supplier Risk Management and 360 Business Improvement programs. He is a member of and frequent presenter at the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals. He holds a doctorate in economics from Cattolica University. He is fluent in Italian and English and some German.
