Jim combines line industry experience – having been a CEO with restructuring, globalization, and acquisition skills – with 20 years of consulting experience helping executive teams solve complex business challenges. Jim is able to bring a balance of creative problem-solving in very large group sessions for the most complicated of business challenges. He understands the power of a brand and how to link products and services in the hearts and minds of consumers to drive economic value. He is a true multicultural executive, having lived in the US and Europe; worked in 26 countries and opened offices throughout Asia.

He has a broad range of client experiences that includes:

  • Brandimage: He took over a struggling Midwest packaging firm and turned it into the largest private brand strategy firm in the world with offices throughout Europe, the US and Asia. Clients included Procter & Gamble, Air France, Hotel Mandarin, Walmart, and Banana Republic.
  • Kellogg Company – He led a global project to work with executives at Kellogg using large-group-design sessions to move from purely a brand management company to one focused on platforms for growth that drove business strategy more than a decade.
  • Chiquita Brands – He led an initiative to use predictive modeling across 6 Central American countries to help harvest banana crops more timely and efficiently to meet needs of retailers in the US and Europe.
  • Waterpik – He worked with executive teams to focus on unique consumer insights to drive business plans and growth.


Over years, Jim has been active in civic and professional organizations, having lived in Cleveland; Cincinnati; Chicago and Geneva, Switzerland.
