Martin Wolf is chief economics commentator at the Financial Times, London and a contributor to the French newspaper Le Monde.

He was awarded the CBE (Commander of the British Empire) in 2000 “for services to financial journalism” and was a member of the UK government's Independent Commission on Banking between June 2010 and September 2011. Mr. Wolf is an honorary fellow of Nuffield College, Oxford University, Corpus Christi College, Oxford University and King's College, London. He is an honorary professor at the University of Nottingham. In 2014, he was made a University Global Fellow of Columbia University, New York, and a Senior Fellow in Global Economic Policy at its School of International Public Affairs. He is a member of the International Media Council of the World Economic Forum.
