The enemy within?

Insider threat has always been a real issue facing businesses... whether it's 'shrinkage' of stock in warehouses or fraud perpetrated from within. In the digital era, it also means misuse or theft of data, to monetise it or to sabotage the business.

However, perhaps the answer isn't more invasive surveillance, as covered in this FT article, but rather better management of people, more attention to culture, more precise human risk analysis, better hiring practices and all the other tools of effective people management.
