Bio

Dr. Srinivasan is currently the Department Chair of Accounting & Management at Harvard Business School.

Dr. Srinivasan is an advisor, educator, researcher, and author who engages extensively with management teams, corporate boards of directors and audit committees, and capital market players. 

Dr. Srinivasan is the author of over 100 case studies and research publications on significant financial accounting and auditing issues, corporate misconduct, internal control and ethics, risk management, and other corporate governance matters relevant to investors, corporate boards of directors, and regulators. Also, he understands issues from an industry perspective as a former investment banker.

Relevant Experience

  • Issued expert opinion for issues surrounding corporate governance, auditing, internal controls, and accounting issues
  • Currently the course-head for the HBS required course Financial Reporting and Control
  • Faculty chair of HBS executive courses for corporate boards of directors and audit and compensation committees of MBA and executive programs
  • Serves on the Board of Directors and Audit Committee of Harvard Business Publishing Inc and other advisory boards
  • Professional experience in advising corporate boards and expert advisory for law firms and management teams
  • Investment Banking at SBI Capital Markets (then India’s largest merchant bank) and Capital Services India Ltd (boutique investment bank specializing in IPO advisory and asset securitization)
