Andrej leads the Telecommunications sector within AlixPartners’ Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) team, driving large-scale digital infrastructure transformations across North America and beyond. 

With deep expertise in fiber optics, cloud-based communication, sub-sea fiber networks, wireless strategy, and competitive-local-exchange-carrier (CLEC) transformation, he helps clients tackle their most complex operational and strategic challenges. 

Andrej specializes in driving value creation across the telecommunications infrastructure landscape, with a focus on fiber, towers, and data centers. He helps clients optimize fiber deployment, maximize asset monetization, and enhance operational efficiency to unlock long-term growth. His expertise extends to M&A strategy, guiding companies through due diligence and post-transaction value realization. 

In the tower sector, Andrej works with operators to streamline operations and optimize OPEX, ensuring sustainable cost structures and improved profitability. In data centers, he focuses on execution excellence—ensuring projects are delivered on time through robust supply chain strategies and sourcing optimization. His insights on fiber market consolidation and infrastructure investment trends have shaped industry perspectives and strategic decision-making. 

A recognized thought leader, Andrej is a frequent speaker and panelist at premier industry conferences, where he shares insights on the evolving telecommunications landscape, the future of digital infrastructure, and the disruptive impact of emerging technologies. 

Before joining AlixPartners, Andrej held leadership roles at Deutsche Telekom and T-Systems, where he played a pivotal role in the creation of Europe’s largest wireless telco joint venture, a €8 billion revenue operation, and led major transformation programs for national telecom operators. 

He studied in Germany, Austria, and the Slovak Republic and holds a PhD in economics and a Doctor of Law.
