Manuel guides companies through the complexities of financial and operational restructuring.
He has 18 years of experience in helping private equity led and mid-sized companies to identify value creation opportunities and to turnaround businesses.
Manuel focuses on reducing the cost of operations through organization redesign, headcount reduction programs, and operational turnaround projects. In addition, he has significant experience in debt financing, and in the preparation and execution of M&A projects (buy and sell-side) and in post-merger integration programs.
Manuel’s relevant project experience spans across various industries, including telecommunication, consumer products, medical devices and industrial goods in different geographies in Europe, Northern America and Africa.
Most recently, Manuel led the preparation and execution of the carve-out of the EMEA consumer goods business across 15+ countries for multinational group headquartered in Tokyo, including operational restructuring (incl. 30% personnel cost reduction) and subsequent sale to a private equity investor. He also co-led the wind-down of a large software startup and was responsible for the organizational efficiency workstream during the turnaround program at a €6.0 billion EMEA Industrial Goods company.
Prior to joining AlixPartners, Manuel served as head of Controlling, M&A, Investor Relations and Business Development, and led financial and operational restructuring projects of two telecommunication companies.
Before that he was a transaction services adviser at a Big4 company in Munich and London.
Manuel holds a master's degree from Mannheim University.
