Mark’s work focuses on M&A, strategy and operations in the automotive and industrial product sectors. Within the automotive industry, he has worked across the value chain, from suppliers and automakers to finance & insurance, aftermarket and dealerships in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
Building on his industry experience and consulting toolkit, Mark has become a renowned expert on capturing value from shifting trends and competitive dynamics, bringing decades of experience helping automotive and industrial companies transform, improve operations, acquire companies, and grow businesses, including as an interim executive.
He has also worked extensively with private-equity investors in due diligence and transformations of portfolio companies. Mark co-leads the Global Automotive & Industrials Practice at AlixPartners. Prior to AlixPartners, he worked at Magna, McKinsey and HSBC.
Mark has been a featured speaker at many industry conferences and has been quoted or featured in The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, The Economist, The New York Times, Bloomberg News, Reuters News, The Associated Press, CNBC TV, Bloomberg TV, ABC News, NBC News, National Public Radio, Nikkei News, Automotive News, and been a guest lecturer at the Wharton School and the University of Michigan.
Mark has been a board member of local Detroit aid organizations, and has supported mentoring programs for automotive students at several universities and design colleges.
