James works with the C-suite of corporate clients and Private Equity firms to help them accomplish their strategic objectives and drive stakeholder returns through Corporate Finance and M&A solutions.
He has a particular focus on the Consumer, Food and Beverages sectors where he has worked with clients ranging from global industry leaders to high growth disruptive brands, entrepreneurs and private equity backed businesses. His experience includes leading strategic options reviews, reviewing market entry options and bringing a global network together to generate thought-provoking and actionable strategic ideas. James advises clients on their M&A opportunities from concept stage through to execution . Having also led the debt and equity financing of numerous M&A transactions in both the public and private arenas, James provides clients with holistic and tailored corporate finance solutions.
Over the past 20 years, James' originated and worked on over $25bn of announced M&A (sell-side, buy-side, mergers, accelerated M&A, P2P, carve-outs) and financing (debt and equity) transactions in a range of geographies and industries, including in the Consumer, Food & Beverages, Leisure, Healthcare and Real Estate sectors.
Prior to joining AlixPartners James was Co-Head of Rabobank's Global Consumer Corporate Finance business and Global Head of Rabobank's Beverages Corporate Finance business. He also managed client relationships as a Senior Relationship Banker across the Food & Beverage sectors. Prior to Rabobank James spent 12 years working in Deutsche Bank's Corporate Finance advisory business. James holds a degree in Economics from Warwick University.
