Stephen specializes in compliance, risk management, and investigations within the financial services, digital assets, and technology industries, across a variety of topics including regulatory compliance, privacy, securities regulation, anti–money laundering (AML), and blockchain/cryptocurrency.

He advises financial institutions and corporate clients on matters related to risk management and compliance program development, improvement, and transformation. Stephen's expertise in data analytics and financial modeling helps client successfully navigate internal and regulatory challenges.

Prior to AlixPartners, Stephen conducted regulatory investigations of trading activity and supervisory reviews of broker-dealers at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). He also worked in-house at a large money-service business in AML compliance, sanctions, and regulatory reporting.

Stephen graduated from the University of Dayton with a BA, Summa cum laude, and achieved an MBA with distinction as an Honors Scholar from Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business.
