Philipp joined the AlixPartners Zurich office in 2018 after earning his MBA at IMD Switzerland. He provides strategic and hands-on operational management consulting in high-stake situations industry-spanning clients and to also build out the firm's capability in MedTech.

In his daily work, Philipp combines managerial experience with management consulting as much as LEAN imperatives with digital information systems. He is passionate about innovative solution finding (he holds two patents in the medical design engineering space) and P&L effective implementation engagements.

Engagements include operational due diligence, turnarounds by means of commercial recovery and operational value creation, cost reduction and transformation programs in both distressed and non-distressed environments.

Key Engagements:

  • A merger and reorganization of two production units at a pharmaceutical supplier company which resulted in a successful turnaround of the business and protection of CHF50m in revenue
  • A global transformation program for a Swiss Fortune Global 500 company in the automation area that generated CHF500m run rate savings end to end of which CHF150m already in year one
  • A global indirect production overhead reduction program for a lift manufacturer that successfully materialized a 12% cost-out
  • A manufacturing cost reduction program for a global tire manufacturer that delivered overall run rate savings of €20m in year one
  • A post-merger cost reduction program which delivered CHF10m cost out in six months
  • A large-scale product roll-out in the payments industry where he ensured operational day-1-readiness of business functions and thereby secured revenue targets
