Daniel passionately guides Automotive and Industrial clients through situations of strategic turnarounds, commercial recoveries, performance improvement, and cross-functional (PE) value creation. He is a renowned expert in new mobility matters, covering the OEM, supplier, and investor perspectives alike.
Daniel combines more than a decade of top-tier consulting experience, advising both large caps as well as mid-sized companies, with several years in corporate leadership positions. He recently managed strategic turnarounds to help companies in structurally declining markets re-gain profitable growth momentum and led the expansion of industrial legacy players into high-growth future business models, incl. electric mobility.
Prior to joining AlixPartners, he was an Associate Partner with Bain & Company, acting Chief Commercial Officer and Director Corporate Business Development in a fast-growing pharma company, and Chief Program Officer with Schaltbau, a PE-owned leader in electro-mechanical components. Daniel holds a doctoral degree (Dr. rer. pol.) in Economics from the Justus-Liebig-University Giessen and a Diploma in International Business Administration from the Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen. He has co-authored multiple scientific and practitioners' articles.
