Bhavik is a seasoned management consultant who specializes in operational performance improvement and value creation, focusing on portfolio companies of private equity firms and public entities. At AlixPartners, he spearheads projects aimed at enhancing EBITDA, particularly within the consumer products sector, and boasts experience across various industries including aerospace & defense, automotive, industrial, retail, chemicals, mining, and building construction. Bhavik is dedicated to ESG initiatives and takes an active role in both promoting diversity recruitment and coordinating social gatherings at his workplace.
He excels in optimizing manufacturing plant networks by aligning them with customer demand, cost efficiency, agility, and resilience. For instance, he analyzed customer demand, production capacities, and capabilities across approximately 20 furniture manufacturing plants, devising a future manufacturing footprint strategy that involved plant consolidation and greenfield operations in low-cost countries, resulting in estimated run-rate savings of $100 million. He also played a crucial role in collaborating with engineering and operations teams to establish a new facility in Mexico.
Bhavik's leadership extends to efficiency improvement and debottlenecking projects across multiple manufacturing plants, leading to increased production volumes, cost reductions, and improved product quality. His approach involves managing cross-functional teams, from blue-collar workers to C-level executives. For example, at a food plant, he enhanced throughput by analyzing downtime and OEE data, conducting line observations, and facilitating workshops, resulting in a 20% increase in production rate, a 25% boost in attainment, and a 10% rise in OEE.
In addition to his operational prowess, Bhavik has managed holistic transformation programs and excelled in M&A due diligence, identifying and quantifying EBITDA improvement opportunities, especially for PE-owned portfolio companies. His expertise extends to strategic sourcing and procurement, pricing optimization, SG&A and organizational structure optimization, sales and operations planning, working capital and inventory optimization, as well as logistics and transportation.
Prior to joining AlixPartners, Bhavik served as an internal management consultant at Arconic (formerly Alcoa, now Howmet Aerospace), a global aerospace metal products manufacturer, specializing in strategy, supply-chain, manufacturing, and capital management projects. He started his consulting career in India, helping family-managed businesses improve their operations through organizational restructuring, process improvement, and change management at a boutique firm, Acumen.
Bhavik holds an MBA from Georgetown University and a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering from VJTI, affiliated with the University of Mumbai.
