Maxx is a Senior Vice President in the Disputes and Valuation practice based in Chicago and has almost a decade of tax valuation, financial reporting valuation and strategic forecasting modeling experience in both deal and non-deal situations. In this role, Maxx has assisted clients by providing strategic valuation solutions to tax needs, such as multinational legal entity valuations and IRC 1060 purchase price allocations, as well as financial reporting needs, such as ASC 805 purchase price allocations and ASC 350 goodwill impairment analyses.
Key Engagements:
- Served clients in a number of industries including automotive, information technology, technology hardware, industrial and manufacturing, retail & consumer goods, real estate services, and transportation / logistics, among others.
- Defended valuation analyses in the context of reviews performed by various parties including but not limited to tax authorities and auditors.
- Valued business interests for mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures, as well as for tax, and general corporate planning purposes.
- Intangible assets valued include trade names and trademarks, franchising agreements, IPR&D, proprietary and patented technology, software, customer relationships, customer contracts, and noncompetition agreements for the purposes of purchase price allocations, financial reporting, and tax planning.
- Performed strategic forecasting modeling to provide clients with insights for tax and general corporate planning purposes.
