Susan brings a depth of knowledge and experience across a breadth of industries and solves complex operational problems by leading organizational change and transforming clients’ digital landscapes. Through her more than 10 years of experience, she has gained the ability to quickly assess a client’s market and situation to draw out gaps, identify issues, and spot opportunities for improvement and change.

She conducted an end-to-end supply chain transformation for the largest US propane distribution company, managed the development of an enterprise system for a large freight brokerage, and established a new line of business for a national insurance company. Susan’s clients benefit from her deep expertise in financial planning and analysis as well as cost management.

Susan has a BS in Mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business. She is a SAFe-certified Agilist and PO/PM.

Key Engagements:

  • Led efforts in major business unit consolidation.  Identified redundancies in field operations and excess capital equipment resulting in $79M savings in operating expenses.
  • Assessed and implemented both cost and revenue opportunities, specifically in procurement, content, and product organizations for a global provider of learning management software; focused on near-term EBITDA improvement and longer-term structural strategies amounting to cost opportunities of approximately $33M.
  • Conducted global compensation review of 250,000 employees across 16 countries; evaluated company’s historical total rewards strategy and current market positioning and provided insights on industry compensation and benefits trends; defined five-year compensation guidelines to achieve less attrition and thereby enable company to become an employer of choice.
  • Executed an Application Portfolio Rationalization of 1,500+ applications for an international aerospace company. Created survey and detailed interview guide.  Conducted 30+ interviews of Senior Managers and above.  Analyzed 45 survey responses and interview data to identify opportunities, amounting to approximate savings of $12M.
  • Captured business requirements to modernize and de-risk the sales-and-operations-planning, procurement, and transportation-and-logistics functions for a national utility company through the identification of current process gaps, issues, and opportunities; identified recurring annual savings of $20 million, which the client approved for implementation.
  • Managed work stream for sales operations in the development of an enterprise system for a national freight brokerage that would increase productivity by more than 40%; identified dependencies and risks; resolved issues; and ensured all project deadlines were met.
  • Led identification of cost savings opportunities for back-office functions, as well as opportunities for automation for the leading integrated power company in the U.S., amounting to savings of ~$170M.
