Emiko is an experienced legal professional in both the U.S. and Japan and specializes in complex litigation and investigations in a wide range of industries and geographies. She gained expertise in forensics when she was with a major US law firm, heavily involved in the U.S. discovery practice. She has extensive experience managing cross-border and high-impact matters for Japanese multinationals with special sensitivity to Japanese perspective and culture. She is fully trained in forensic data analysis using state-of-the art technology tools and possesses deep knowledge of US Discovery standards as well as relevant regulations and guidelines.
She holds a Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law and is admitted to practice law in the state of New York. She is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). She cofounded the Women’s White Collar Defense Association Japan Chapter and is a co-leader of the chapter.
