Neal Ganguli is an Automotive & Industrial Business Transformation Leader, specializing in leading strategy development and execution efforts with C-level management teams to enhance company performance and profitability. Neal is a seasoned business executive and leader with a 25-plus year track record. He has a background in private equity operations and management consulting with strong performance improvement and restructuring experience, leadership skills and the ability to work with management teams to influence change and implement top-priority initiatives.
His experience includes executing large strategic and operational transformation programs at global automotive and commercial OEMs, suppliers, industrial manufacturers, technology companies, E-Mobility clients and private equity funds invested in these sectors. He has helped clients assess the impact of the mega-trends that are transforming the clean and smart Mobility landscape, to assess business plans and develop and execute strategies to benefit from the change. His experience includes revenue growth, strategy development, operational transformation, manufacturing and supply chain optimization, and operating model realignment. Neal also brings expertise across the M&A life cycle and has led multiple strategic/operational due diligence, integration planning, post-merger integration/carve-outs and synergy value creation efforts for Private Equity as well as strategic acquirers.

• SG&A reduction and corporate reorganization at $15B global electrical and electronics components manufacturer to help fund new investments in electrification
• Product cost and complexity reduction for agricultural and construction equipment manufacturer on critical program launch
• Operations profitability improvement and manufacturing network and supply chain optimization for Tier 1 automotive glass supplier
• Turnaround and profit improvement program for $8B Tier 1 automotive and commercial vehicle supplier over 12 months. Spanned NA, EMEA and LATAM operations.
• Several operational diligences in EV/Battery space on behalf of potential financial sponsors. Targets included new EV OEMs, battery manufacturers, EV power electronics suppliers, and so on
• Strategic assessment of automotive fuel systems and thermal management suppliers’ business plans to determine impact of E-Mobility trends and develop strategy and execution plans to accelerate growth and mitigate risks
Prior to rejoining AlixPartners, Neal was Leader of Industrial & Auto sector for Business Transformation at FTI Consulting and before that, part of Deloitte Consulting’s US Automotive practice and Leader of the Auto Supplier consulting segment. He has also worked with several private equity funds independently, as well as at McKinsey & Co.
