John is a Partner in the Retail practice with a focus on both DTC and wholesale companies driving operational transformation programs that focus on improvements in processes, tools, organization, strategy, and analytics across the entire business operation.
John leads the AI Profit Engine initiative. With customer centricity at its core, our approach helps retailers integrate data from hundreds of internal and external sources to accurately forecast customer demand, enabling retailers with machine learning — powered capabilities to optimize pricing and promotion, inventory and assortment, and marketing strategies to achieve profitable sales growth.
John has acted in interim executive roles for clients when this will yield the best possible outcome. He has partnered with the C-suite at dozens of clients to lead complex analytics projects in specialty, department, global brands, drug store, luxury, mass, and value retail companies. He focuses on operating model, growth strategies, analytics, business operations, and consumer.
John has a Bachelor of Science in Operations Research and Information Engineering from Cornell University. John frequently speaks with media (e.g. CBS News, WWD) and at industry conferences (e.g. HBS Retail Conference, RILA).
