With over 25 years experience in consulting and industry, Mark co-heads AlixPartners’ in the UK and AlixPartners’ EMEA Private Equity practice.
He has a particular focus on large cross-border company transformations and has extensive experience in Europe, North America and Asia across a range of sectors such as business services, industrial products, oil & gas, chemicals, consumer goods and healthcare.
He works extensively in Private Equity, working with sponsors and companies in M&A transactions (operational due diligence, post-merger integration and / or carve-out) and value creation / execution in manufacturing, procurement, and SG&A optimization, along with undertaking interim management roles.
Mark started his career in industry at GE in various operational roles in Europe, Asia and the US, and holds a Masters in Finance from Princeton University and degrees in Business Studies and Operations Management from Aberdeen University.

- Mark has served as lead advisor on 100+ sellside and buyside operational due diligences on behalf of PE and Corporate clients, along with leading numerous integration and carve-out mandates, and value creation and execution engagements for PE portfolio companies.
- Holistic turnaround of a global food processing equipment manufacturer, covering manufacturing optimization, overhead reduction and growth, generating a 97% improvement in EBITDA within 18 months.
- Overhead optimization of a European O&G Services provider, resulting in a 28% cost reduction in 12 months.
- Full potential program and bolt-on integration in relation to PE-backed Packaging provider with operations in Europe, the US and China, leading to an increase in EBITDA of 561% over 3 years.
- G&A reduction in relation to a European Services provider, generating a 30% increase in EBITDA.
