Trevor is a Partner and Managing Director in the Investigations, Compliance & Privacy practice at AlixPartners, and is based in the Boston office. Trevor helps clients navigate complex and challenging matters arising from financial reporting, regulatory investigations and litigation issues. 

Trevor has over 20 years of forensic accounting experience, specializing in complex securities fraud and compliance issues. He is a certified public accountant and certified fraud examiner.  

Prior to joining AlixPartners, Trevor spent eight years as a Senior Enforcement Accounting in the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Enforcement where he led a wide variety of federal securities fraud investigations. While at the SEC, Trevor was awarded the Paul R. Carey Award and Chair’s Award for Investor Protection.

Trevor holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Richmond. 

 

EXPERIENCE

  • Led dozens of SEC investigations involving financial reporting issues, market manipulation, offering frauds, cryptocurrency matters, FCPA, investment adviser and broker-dealer violations, and auditor and attorney professional conduct.
  • Closely coordinated SEC investigations in parallel with multiple U.S. Attorneys’ Offices, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and foreign civil and criminal agencies.
  • Advised multiple Audit Committee and management-led internal investigations involving complex accounting and disclosure issues with a focus on allegations of revenue recognition and earnings management.
